When should I put my trash out?

We ask all residents and commercial companies to please put their trash out the evening before pick up.

Where do I place my garbage to make sure its picked up?

To ensure that your trash is picked up make sure that the can is placed near the road at the end of the driveway or as close to the curb as possible.

What holidays affect the pickup schedule?

• New Year's Day - Monday, 1/1 - Pickups are one day behind
• Memorial Day - Monday, 5/27 - Pickups are one day behind
• Independence Day - Thursday, 7/4 - Thursday and Friday are one day behind
• Labor Day - Monday, 9/2 - Pickups are one day behind
• Thanksgiving Day - Thursday, 11/28 - Thursday and Friday are one day behind
• Christmas Day Wednesday, 12/25 - Thursday and Friday are one day behind

We run on a normal schedule for all other federal and religious holidays.

What trash / bulk items don’t you take?

We don’t take building materials, liquid corrosives, or tires. We don’t take refrigerators and AC units without them being red tagged by certified HVAC Tech. Electronics are taken on a by borough basis.

What products are not recyclable?

Tires, Glass, Liquids, Plastic Bags, Bubble Wrap, Medical Waste, Styrofoam, Straws, Mirrors, Aerosol Cans, Clothes Hangers, Packing Peanuts.

How do I report a missed pick up?

Any missed residential or commercial pick ups can be reported by calling our office at 724-379-4331 or by emailing in at service@bigssanitation.com

Can we get an extra pick up if needed?

Yes, we do provide an extra pick up service. Please call into the office for pricing and times.

Who do I make a payment too?

We currently take residential payments from Mononghela, Smithon, Suttersville, Scenery Hill, Eighty Four, Bentleyville, Marianna.

All other payments are made to the local municipalities.

We take all commercial payments regardless of location.

Can I purchase a trash can?

Yes, our trash cans are available for rent/purchase. Prices vary by location. Please email or call our office for pricing.
